His consulting practice supports organizations in translating vision into action, ensuring that equity is not just a statement, but an embedded, sustainable reality.

As the former Director of Equity and Strategic Engagement for the Bellevue School District (BSD), Shomari led initiatives that empowered students of color, fostered belonging, and dismantled barriers to success. Prior to his work at the Bellevue School District, Shomari served as the Chief Operating Officer at the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle, The Senior Director of the Black Achievers Program at the YMCA Seattle, and the Program Coordinator for the College Success Foundation. Shomari’s work has been recognized by Education Week, who awarded him with their “Leaders to Learn From” award in 2019.
